The basic workflow is simple: open a supported AI conversation page, create a continuation TXT, download it locally, and use it to continue in a new conversation.Install the extensionInstall AI WorkGuard from the Chrome Web Store or Mozilla Add-ons in a supported desktop browser. After installation, open the browser extensions menu.
Pin AI WorkGuard next to the address barUse the browser extensions menu to pin AI WorkGuard so the icon is easy to access.
Open a long AI conversationOpen a supported chat page that contains the conversation you want to continue elsewhere.
Create a continuation TXTUse the AI WorkGuard panel and press the create button. The extension will prepare a structured handoff and save it through the browser download flow.
Review the downloaded TXTOpen the TXT file and quickly check that it contains the useful continuation context you need.
Continue in a new conversationStart a fresh AI chat and paste or upload the handoff TXT so the work can continue with the important context preserved.
What the handoff TXT contains
The generated TXT is intended to be practical, not decorative. It is designed to help the next conversation continue correctly without repeating unnecessary history.- Project or work context.
- Current status and recent decisions.
- Relevant file names, paths, or package names when available.
- Next action to continue from.
- Important “do not repeat” instructions.
- A generated timestamp and final validation line.
AI WorkGuard does not replace user review. Always check the downloaded TXT before using it in a new conversation.
How Long Chat Guard works
Long AI conversations can become difficult to manage because the browser page may contain many conversation turns and a large amount of visible content. AI WorkGuard shows a Long Chat Guard panel with conversation scan status. The scan percentage describes detected conversation content in the current page view. It is not a computer memory or RAM measurement.What “Conversation scan” means
The Conversation scan percentage is based on detected conversation content in the current desktop browser view. It helps communicate the extension’s progress or view state without implying measured system memory savings.Conversation scan is not a measured RAM value, not a server-side metric, and not a guarantee of system memory reduction.
Desktop cleanup behavior
After a handoff TXT is created, AI WorkGuard may hide the generated handoff text and related prompt residue from the current desktop browser view to keep the page cleaner. This cleanup is local to the browser where the extension is running. It does not delete messages from the AI service.Desktop cleanup does not remove server-side conversation messages and may not affect mobile devices, other browsers, or pages where AI WorkGuard is not installed or running.
Privacy and local processing
AI WorkGuard is designed as a local browser tool. It does not operate an external server for processing conversation content.- Conversation content is processed locally in the browser for the user-requested handoff function.
- The generated TXT is saved locally through the browser download flow.
- No external conversation upload is performed by the extension.
- No analytics, behavioral tracking, or advertising profiling is used by the extension.
- User conversation content is not sold or shared.

The extension says the chat is empty
This can happen when the current page does not contain enough visible conversation content for a meaningful handoff TXT. Open a populated conversation and try again.The generated handoff text appears on another device
Cleanup is local to the desktop browser where AI WorkGuard is running. It does not delete server-side messages and may not affect other devices or browsers.The downloaded TXT should be reviewed
Always open and review the downloaded handoff TXT before using it in a new conversation, especially for technical, legal, financial, or business-critical work.The page is still slow
