Basic use

• Open a supported ChatGPT conversation in a desktop Chrome or Chromium-based browser.
• Open the AI WorkGuard panel and allow the current conversation to finish loading.
• Use Conversation Load to check whether the chat may benefit from a continuation workflow.
• Use Search This Conversation to locate information in the active chat.
• Create a continuation handoff or Related Chat when you want to continue in a cleaner conversation.
• Use the export tools when you need a local copy in a supported file format.

Troubleshooting

The panel does not appear or does not update

Confirm that AI WorkGuard is enabled, refresh the ChatGPT page, wait for the conversation to load, and then reopen the extension panel.

Free Pro Access is not confirmed

Check that the browser is online, reopen the extension panel, and allow a short time for the activation status to be confirmed. If the problem continues, report the issue before uninstalling and reinstalling the extension.

A handoff, Related Chat, search, or export looks incomplete

Let the conversation finish loading, refresh the page if necessary, and retry the action. Very large conversations may require additional loading time.

A feature stopped working after a ChatGPT interface change

Browser-extension behavior can be affected by changes to the ChatGPT website. Report the problem with the extension version, browser version, and a short description of the expected and actual behavior.

Basic use

• Open a Gemini conversation in a supported desktop Chrome or Chromium-based browser.
• Open Long Chat Navigator from the pinned browser toolbar icon.
• Allow the extension to scan the conversation blocks currently rendered by Gemini.
• Select a listed user message or Gemini response to jump directly to that point.
• Use Go First or Go Last for quick navigation through the detected blocks.
• Use Top probe + rescan or Bottom probe + rescan when Gemini has not yet rendered the full conversation.

Troubleshooting

The panel does not appear

Confirm that the extension is enabled, refresh the Gemini tab, and reopen Long Chat Navigator from the pinned browser toolbar icon.

The detected block count looks incomplete

Gemini may not have rendered the entire conversation. Use Top probe + rescan or Bottom probe + rescan, then allow the page a moment to load additional content.

A navigation item does not move to the expected message

Rescan the conversation after Gemini finishes loading. Interface changes or progressively rendered content can temporarily affect the detected block list.

The interface disappeared after pressing Off

This is expected. The Off button removes the page interface. Reopen the extension from its pinned browser toolbar icon.

A feature stopped working after a Gemini interface change

Website interface changes can affect browser-extension behavior. Report the issue with the extension version, browser version, detected block count, and the exact control or action affected.

Free Pro Access — Lifetime

AI WorkGuard provides Free Pro Access for the first 3,000 qualifying installations. All Pro tools are unlocked free forever for eligible installations.

Free Pro Access can be used on up to three active personal installations per eligible user. There is no trial, daily action limit, subscription, renewal, checkout, or paid licence activation in this version.

Privacy and local processing

AI WorkGuard for ChatGPT

Supported conversation content is processed locally inside the browser for features such as search, handoffs, Related Chat, diagnostics, and exports.

AI WorkGuard uses a Cloudflare-based activation service only to confirm Free Pro Access eligibility and installation status. The activation check does not process or store the contents of ChatGPT conversations.

Long Chat Navigator for Gemini

Long Chat Navigator scans the conversation blocks currently rendered in the active Gemini tab and builds the navigation interface locally in the browser.

Long Chat Navigator does not use an account, payment, subscription, licence, or activation system.

Important behavior notes

Desktop browser extensions

AI WorkGuard Tools extensions are designed for supported desktop browsers. They do not provide a mobile-app interface.

Conversation Load is guidance

AI WorkGuard Conversation Load is an extension estimate intended to help users understand when a conversation is becoming large. It is not a measured RAM value, a server-side metric, or a measurement of the model’s internal context window.

Extensions do not delete service content

AI WorkGuard Tools extensions do not delete ChatGPT or Gemini conversation messages. Local display and navigation actions do not remove conversation content from the underlying AI service.

Report a technical problem

Use the dedicated report page for reproducible bugs or technical problems. It prepares an email template for the affected extension and lists the information needed for investigation.
