Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
1. Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the AIWorkGuardTools website and to browser extensions and related tools published by AIWorkGuardTools.
Covered products include:
- AI WorkGuard for ChatGPT;
- Long Chat Navigator for Gemini;
- earlier AI WorkGuard editions focused on Handoff TXT and Long Chat Guard functionality;
- related documentation, manuals, support pages and website services provided through aiworkguardtools.com.
Features, permissions and data-handling practices may differ between products, editions and supported browsers. This policy explains the practices that apply generally and the additional practices used only by products containing the relevant feature.
2. Who we are
AIWorkGuardTools provides browser extensions, productivity tools, documentation and support resources for managing and navigating supported AI conversations.

3. Core privacy approach
AIWorkGuardTools products are designed to perform their main conversation-processing and navigation functions locally inside the user’s browser.
AIWorkGuardTools does not operate a developer-hosted service that receives or stores the contents of users’ ChatGPT or Gemini conversations, or the handoff and export files created from those conversations.
Information is handled only when necessary to:
- provide a feature selected by the user;
- build an in-page navigation interface;
- create a user-requested local file;
- maintain local extension settings and state;
- manage installation eligibility or activation status where applicable;
- provide support;
- protect and operate the website;
- meet applicable legal obligations.
4. Information handled by the extensions
Depending on the installed product and the feature used, an AIWorkGuardTools extension may locally process:
- content currently rendered or otherwise available in the active supported AI conversation, including user prompts and AI responses;
- conversation structure and message roles;
- the active conversation title and URL;
- images and attachment-related information used in a user-requested export;
- locally calculated measurements such as word counts, message counts, image counts, attachment information and conversation-load guidance;
- text entered into a prompt builder or another extension field;
- local interface preferences and feature settings;
- locally stored Organizer entries, where supported, including conversation titles, URLs, folder assignments and local timestamps;
- clipboard text only during a user-initiated copy or supported capture action;
- installation, activation or entitlement status where an edition uses the AIWorkGuardTools activation service.
Processing conversation content locally in the browser does not mean that the content is uploaded to AIWorkGuardTools.
5. Earlier Handoff TXT and Long Chat Guard editions
Earlier AI WorkGuard editions were designed primarily to create a local continuation or Handoff TXT file and to make long AI conversations more manageable in a desktop browser.
Those editions process the supported conversation inside the browser to prepare a user-requested handoff. Any hiding or visible-message reduction affects only the browser view in which the extension is operating.
These functions do not delete messages from the AI platform and do not modify the original conversation stored by the platform.
6. AI WorkGuard for ChatGPT
AI WorkGuard for ChatGPT may use content from the active supported ChatGPT conversation to provide user-facing functions such as:
- Conversation Load information and diagnostics;
- Continuation Handoff generation;
- related-chat creation;
- conversation search;
- Custom Prompt Builder tools;
- Chat Organizer tools;
- local TXT, DOCX or PDF exports;
- other disclosed productivity and conversation-management features.
These functions are part of the extension’s disclosed purpose: helping users manage, continue, search, organize and save work from supported ChatGPT conversations.
Conversation content used by these features is processed in the browser or through the user’s signed-in ChatGPT session. It is not transmitted to AIWorkGuardTools servers.
7. Long Chat Navigator for Gemini
Long Chat Navigator for Gemini operates locally inside the active Gemini browser tab.
The extension reads the user messages and Gemini responses currently rendered on the page solely to:
- identify usable conversation blocks;
- distinguish user messages from Gemini responses;
- create a compact in-page navigation list;
- display short text previews and block counts;
- allow the user to jump directly to a selected conversation block;
- probe the top or bottom of a long conversation so that Gemini may progressively render additional content.
Conversation content is processed locally in the browser. Long Chat Navigator for Gemini does not transmit conversation text, prompts, responses or generated navigation lists to AIWorkGuardTools or any third party.
The extension does not create a cloud archive, require an account, use advertising trackers, include payment or subscription functionality, or execute remotely hosted extension code.
Long Chat Navigator for Gemini may store only limited interface preferences, such as the selected light or dark theme and the enabled or off state, in local browser or Gemini page storage. These preferences do not contain conversation content.
Access to https://gemini.google.com/* is required only to provide the disclosed navigation functionality inside supported Gemini pages.
8. User-initiated interaction with ChatGPT
Some AI WorkGuard for ChatGPT features intentionally interact with ChatGPT through the user’s signed-in browser session.
- Create Continuation Handoff may send a temporary continuation request in the active conversation and use the resulting response to prepare a local handoff.
- Create Related Chat Automatically may create a new ChatGPT conversation and send continuation content prepared for that action.
- Custom Prompt Builder sends a prepared prompt only when the user explicitly selects the relevant Send action.
These interactions are handled by ChatGPT/OpenAI through the user’s account and are subject to the applicable OpenAI terms and privacy practices.
Conversation content used for these actions is not sent to AIWorkGuardTools servers.
9. Handoff and export files
When a user requests a handoff or export, AI WorkGuard creates the requested file for download to the user’s device.
Depending on the selected export and installed edition, the file may contain:
- conversation text;
- message structure;
- conversation titles and related metadata;
- images or attachment-related information available through the user’s signed-in session.
To include images in a user-requested export, the extension may retrieve resources that are already available through the user’s signed-in ChatGPT session from supported ChatGPT or OpenAI content domains.
AIWorkGuardTools does not upload or store downloaded handoff or export files. The user controls those files after download and is responsible for reviewing, storing, sharing or deleting them.
10. Local browser storage
AIWorkGuardTools extensions may use browser local storage or supported page storage to retain settings and the local state required by the installed product.
This may include:
- interface and theme preferences;
- enabled, minimized or off state;
- related-chat state;
- locally stored Organizer entries;
- feature preferences;
- installation or activation status;
- other limited local state necessary for disclosed functionality.
Local data remains in the browser profile until it is removed through an extension control, cleared through the browser, or removed when the extension or browser profile is uninstalled or reset.
Browser behavior may differ by browser, operating system and version.
11. Clipboard access
Where supported by the installed AI WorkGuard edition, clipboard read access is used only during a user-initiated conversation-capture fallback.
Clipboard write access is used only when the user chooses a copy action, such as copying a prepared prompt, diagnostic text or continuation content.
AIWorkGuardTools extensions do not continuously monitor the clipboard, and clipboard content is not sent to AIWorkGuardTools servers.
12. User-initiated troubleshooting reset
AI WorkGuard for ChatGPT may provide a user-initiated troubleshooting reset for supported ChatGPT sites.
This action clears only the browser cache or local site storage selected by that feature for supported ChatGPT domains.
It does not clear browser history, saved passwords or unrelated website data.
13. Cloudflare activation and installation status
Certain current or future AI WorkGuard editions may use an AIWorkGuardTools activation service hosted through Cloudflare to manage installation eligibility, activation status, permitted active installations and related entitlement checks.
The activation service may process limited technical information required for this purpose, such as:
- an installation or activation identifier;
- activation, deactivation or status-check requests;
- entitlement status;
- timestamps and limited technical request information needed to operate and secure the service.
AI conversation content, prompts, responses, handoff files and export files are not sent to the activation service.
Cloudflare may process standard network and security information, such as IP addresses and request metadata, as part of providing and protecting its infrastructure, subject to Cloudflare’s own terms and privacy practices.
Long Chat Navigator for Gemini does not currently use the AIWorkGuardTools activation service.
14. Browser and extension-store services
Google Chrome, the Chrome Web Store, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Add-ons and other browser or extension-distribution services may independently process installation, account, security, review, diagnostic or store-usage information under their own terms and privacy policies.
AIWorkGuardTools does not control the data-handling practices of those independent services.
15. Website information
When a visitor uses aiworkguardtools.com, the website hosting, content-delivery and security systems may create standard technical logs.
Those logs may include:
- IP address;
- browser user agent;
- requested page;
- date and time of the request;
- security and error information.
This information is used to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.
If comments are enabled and a visitor submits a comment, the website may receive the information entered in the comment form together with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent for spam and abuse prevention.
If a user contacts support, AIWorkGuardTools receives the information the user chooses to provide, such as:
- email address;
- extension name and version;
- browser and operating-system information;
- screenshots;
- diagnostic information;
- a description of the issue.
Users should not send complete private conversations, passwords, authentication details, financial information or other unnecessary sensitive information when requesting support.
16. Cookies and analytics
The AIWorkGuardTools website may use essential WordPress, security, preference or session cookies needed to operate the site and protect it from abuse.
AIWorkGuardTools browser extensions do not use advertising trackers, behavioral profiling or advertising analytics.
AIWorkGuardTools does not use extension conversation content for advertising, audience profiling, cross-service tracking or personalized marketing.

Long Chat Navigator for Gemini does not transmit Gemini conversation content to AIWorkGuardTools, Cloudflare or another third party.
20. Data retention
AI conversation content is processed for the selected feature and is not retained by AIWorkGuardTools on a developer-hosted conversation server.
Local extension data remains in the user’s browser until removed through the extension, cleared through browser controls, or removed when the extension or browser profile is uninstalled or reset.
Downloaded handoff and export files remain on the user’s device until the user moves or deletes them.
Limited activation or entitlement records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the applicable installation-access program, prevent abuse, resolve activation problems and maintain entitlement continuity.
Support correspondence and website security logs may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and legal compliance.
21. Security
External network requests used by current products are made over HTTPS.
Executable extension logic is packaged with the installed extension and is not downloaded as remotely hosted executable JavaScript.
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information handled directly by AIWorkGuardTools. However, no website, browser extension, storage system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
22. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Use of information received from Chrome extension APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data obtained through extension permissions is used only for the extension’s clearly disclosed and user-facing purpose, together with related security, support and operational functions.

- sale to third parties;
- purposes unrelated to the extension’s single disclosed purpose.
23. Firefox and Mozilla disclosures
