Terms of Use
Last updated: July 27, 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms govern use of the AIWorkGuardTools website and AI WorkGuard browser extensions distributed for Chrome and other Chromium-based desktop browsers and for Firefox through Mozilla Add-ons. By using the website or an AI WorkGuard extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or extension.
2. AI WorkGuard editions
AI WorkGuard editions may differ by browser, store and release. Earlier editions focus on creating local Handoff TXT files and making long AI conversations more manageable. Newer editions, including AI WorkGuard – ChatGPT Productivity Toolkit, may also provide conversation-load guidance, search, prompt tools, related-chat creation, local organization, diagnostics, exports and optional Pro features.
Not every feature is available in every edition or browser. The installed extension, its user interface and its store listing describe the functions available in that edition.
3. Intended purpose
AI WorkGuard is a browser productivity tool intended to help users manage, continue, search, organize and save work from supported AI conversations. It assists the user but does not replace user review, judgment or responsibility.
4. User responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing all handoff files, related-chat content, prompts, diagnostics and exported files before relying on, sharing or using them.
- Confirm that generated files contain the content you expected.
- Keep independent backups of important work.
- Do not provide unnecessary sensitive information.
- Use the website and extension only for lawful and authorized purposes.
- Do not rely on AI WorkGuard as professional, legal, medical, financial, engineering, safety-critical or emergency advice.
5. Local browser functions
AI WorkGuard is designed to perform its main conversation-processing functions locally in the desktop browser. Local hiding, message-window reduction or Organizer actions do not delete the original conversation from the AI service.
A downloaded handoff or export file is stored on the user’s device through the browser download process. The user is responsible for controlling, protecting and deleting downloaded files.
6. Interaction with third-party AI services
Some user-initiated features may send prepared content through the user’s signed-in ChatGPT session, create a related conversation, or open a third-party page. Those actions are also governed by the terms, policies and technical availability of the relevant third-party service.
AIWorkGuardTools does not control ChatGPT, OpenAI, Google, Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox or other third-party platforms and cannot guarantee that their interfaces or services will remain unchanged or continuously compatible.
7. Handoff, related-chat and prompt features
Continuation Handoff and related-chat features are intended to help carry useful context into another conversation. They may omit, simplify or incorrectly interpret information. The user must review the result before continuing important work.
Prompt Builder output is a drafting aid. The user decides whether to copy, edit or send it.
8. Conversation measurements and diagnostics
Conversation Load, hidden-turn information, diagnostics and similar indicators are practical estimates based on information available to the extension. They are not official model context limits, server-side measurements, measured RAM values or guarantees of browser performance.
9. Exports
AI WorkGuard may create local conversation files for reading, editing, documentation or structured processing. Layout, pagination, fonts, image rendering and document structure may differ between the browser conversation and the exported file.
No export process can be guaranteed to reproduce every third-party interface element exactly. Users must check important text, images and formatting before relying on an export.
10. Chat Organizer
Chat Organizer stores local references and folder assignments. Removing an Organizer entry or folder does not delete the original ChatGPT conversation. If a third-party conversation is deleted, renamed, moved or made unavailable, a saved Organizer reference may no longer open correctly.
11. Free features, local trial and Pro access
Some editions may include Free features, a local Pro trial and paid Pro access. Trial duration, counted actions, feature availability and pricing are shown in the extension or checkout at the time of use and may change in future releases.
A local trial is separate from any Freemius checkout trial. Ending a local trial does not remove the Free features available in that edition.
12. Purchases and licence activation
Payments and licence management for paid editions are provided through Freemius. By using checkout or licence services, the user also agrees to the applicable Freemius terms and privacy practices.
A licence may have a limited number of activations. Deactivation may be required before moving a licence to another browser profile or device. Users are responsible for keeping licence keys private and for using them only as permitted by the purchased plan.
13. Refund policy
Unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise, refund requests are considered within 14 days of purchase only when a serious technical problem makes the paid product unusable and the problem cannot be resolved through reasonable support and troubleshooting.
Refunds are not guaranteed for change of mind, failure to review the product description, unsupported devices or browsers, third-party service changes, or features that were not represented as included.
14. Browser and platform compatibility
AI WorkGuard is intended primarily for supported desktop browsers. Mobile apps and mobile browsers may not support the same workflow. Browser and AI-service updates may temporarily affect compatibility.
AIWorkGuardTools may update, limit, replace or discontinue features when needed for security, compatibility, store-policy compliance or product development.
15. Website materials and support
Guides, manuals, FAQs, articles, screenshots, release notes and support information are provided for convenience and may be updated. Users should confirm that instructions apply to their installed edition and version.
Support is provided on a reasonable-effort basis. AIWorkGuardTools does not guarantee a particular response time or that every compatibility problem can be resolved.
16. Prohibited use
You must not:
- use AI WorkGuard or the website for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, harmful or unauthorized purposes;
- use the extension to access, process or distribute content you are not authorized to use;
- attempt to bypass licensing, access controls or usage limits;
- copy, resell, redistribute, sublicense or publish the extension package except where expressly permitted;
- reverse engineer, modify or interfere with the extension except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- misrepresent AI WorkGuard as an official product of OpenAI, ChatGPT, Google, Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox or another provider;
- use the website or extension to spread malware, spam or harmful content.
17. Intellectual property
AI WorkGuard, AIWorkGuardTools, related branding, documentation and original extension code are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, trademarks, services and interface elements remain the property of their respective owners.
18. Privacy
Use of the website and extensions is also governed by the AIWorkGuardTools Privacy Policy.
19. No warranty
The website, extensions and downloadable materials are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AIWorkGuardTools disclaims warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, exact export reproduction, compatibility with every browser or AI-service version, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
20. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AIWorkGuardTools and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, interruption of work or reliance on generated content arising from use of or inability to use the website or extension.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
21. Suspension or termination
AIWorkGuardTools may suspend access to paid features, revoke a licence or stop providing services when reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security threats, licensing violations, legal requirements or serious breaches of these Terms.
22. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated when products, service providers, store requirements or applicable laws change. The revision date at the top will be updated. Continued use after revised Terms are published constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law.
